Paul Tidwell Wins 2011 Gerald Swindle Big Bass Classic
Guntersville, Alabama – October 16, 2011 – The Oakley Big Bass Tour’s final stop of the 2011 campaign was held this last weekend on Lake Guntersville at the 1st Annual Gerald Swindle Big Bass Classic. Anglers from 11 different states converged on Lake Guntersville to compete in the two day event. “We had an incredible 2011 season and the G-man event was one of the best of the year,” said Louis Wellen with Oakley Sports Marketing. “We look forward to 2012 and a return trip to Guntersville.” added Wellen.
Anglers competed throughout the event weekend for thousands in hourly cash prizes and a chance at the $33,000 Toyota Tundra grand prize for the overall largest big bass. Paul Tidwell posted the leading weight on Saturday at 6.08 lbs and that lead was able to hold up throughout Sunday and earn Paul the inaugural Gerald Swindle Big Bass Classic championship.
